We soon crossed the Tamar into Devon, and took a minor road to Okehampton, then took the B3215 to our lunch stop in North Tawton. Then we followed a series of quiet, and for Devon, straight, lanes, and the quiet B3042. These were delightful, with good views and evidence of hay and silage being gathered. Malc, our resident kiwi dairy farmer, is the expert and delights in quizzing the local farm workers on what they are up to. The final run into Tiverton was on the B3137, rather hilly and busy for my tired legs.

The weather forecast for tomorrow looks ghastly.
